Why do we market living space and not properties? There are two reasons. One is that the term “real estate” inadequately describes the whole spectrum of products our clients offer. Very different approaches are needed to successfully advertise a bridge, a parking structure, a hospital, a warehouse, an apartment complex or an office high-rise, to cite just a few examples.

The other is that we can’t convey the benefits of a “property” unless we show its relevance to actual living. Otherwise we’d only be talking about monuments — dead objects, that is. In other words, we communicate how a property is used, as an integral part of its environment. To make it desirable, it’s important to show how a bridge connects people, how doctors heal people in a hospital, how sportsmen have fun in a golf resort, or how guests enjoy a hotel’s amenities. That’s how real estate becomes “living space for people”.
